Paris Charles de Gaulle International Airport (CDG)

Location

The airport is 19 miles (31km) northeast of Paris.

Getting to the city

There is a good train service with the RER B line that serves the airport with connections to the city centre and the Metro station. The airport RER B can be accessed from Terminal 2 railway station on the airport shuttle. The RER B line is serviced every fifteen minutes Monday through Friday and takes 35 minutes to the city centre. The Roissy bus line connects to the city centre and buses depart every 15-20 minutes between 6am and 12.30am. The Noctilien night bus also runs from the airport, with fares depending on destination.

Parking

Short-term parking is available in lots P1, P3, and PAB, nearest to Terminal 1 and rates range from €3 for a 15 minute stay up to €39 for a full day's parking. The first 10 minutes parked are free. Lots PCD and PEF are located near Terminal 2 and offer similar rates. Lot PR has lower long-term parking rates and the lot is connected to all terminals via a free shuttle.

Paris Orly Airport (ORY)

Location

The airport is nine miles (14km) south of Paris.

Getting to the city

Several choices of public transportaiont methods are the cheapest way to the city centre. RER C trains leave regularly from both terminals and connect to the metro and SNCF train stations. A number of bus services also operate from both terminals such as the Roissy bus line and Air France. Taxis are an expensive albeit fast way to the city centre although they should be avoided in rush hour. Airport shuttles also offer door to door service or connections to public transportation stations.

There are taxis outside the arrival terminals.

Facilities

There are a number of shops, bars and restaurants throughout the airport and both terminals have ATMs, banks and currency exchange services. Other facilities include information desks, an art gallery, left luggage, and a medical centre offering vaccinations. Internet access points and wireless Internet access is available, and a business centre offers a venue and equipment for business needs. Disabled passengers are well catered for; passengers with special needs are advised to inform their airline in advance.

Parking

Parking charges at Paris-Orly Airport range from €6.80 per hour to €36.40 per day in P0 to P3, which are within a short distance of the terminal. Regular shuttle buses connect P 4 and P5 to the terminal and charges start at €4 for an hour and €26 for a full day. Just three minutes from the South Terminal is lot P6 with rates starting at €6.80 for the first hour and going up to €36.40 for the full day. All parking lots, except P5, are closed between 12.30am and 3.30am in summer and 4.30am during winter.

Bordeaux-Merignac Airport (BOD)

Location

The airport is located six miles (10km) west of Bordeaux.

Getting to the city

There are regular bus services to the city centre taking about 30-45 minutes. Taxis are available outside the airport.

Lyon Saint Exupéry International Airport (LYS)

Location

The airport is situated 19 miles (30km) east of Lyon.

Getting to the city

Buses leave regularly for Lyon and the other main towns and cities in the Rhône-Alpes area. There is a TGV train station within walking distance of the airport with regular services to France's main cities.

Marseille Provence Airport (MRS)

Location

The airport is located 16 miles (25km) north of Marseille and 17 miles (28km) south of Aix-en-Provence.

Getting to the city

Shuttle buses leave the airport regularly for Marseille Saint-Charles bus and railway station, where connections can be made to other destinations. Buses also connect the airport with Vitrolles-aéroport Marseille Provence train station and Aix-en-Provence TGV railway station.

Nice Cote dAzur Airport (NCE)

Location

The airport is situated four miles (7km) west of Nice.

Getting to the city

Buses leave regularly for hundreds of destinations between Marseilles and Genoa, and Tram 2 goes into central Nice and to the railway station from both terminals. TER trains and coaches go to Cannes and most other main towns and cities from Nice, and the stations are within a mile of the airport.

Strasbourg Airport (SXB)

Location

The airport is about nine miles (15km) from Strasbourg city centre.

Getting to the city

A train shuttle is available from the airport up to five times an hour. The journey time is eight minutes and a footbridge allows passengers to access the station platform from the airport. Alternatively, taxis are available outside Arrivals.

Location

The airport is located five miles (8km) northwest of Toulouse.

Figari South Corsica Airport (FSC)

Location

The airport is about 15 miles (24km) from Porto-Vecchio.

Getting to the city

A bus service runs between Figari Airport and Porto-Vecchio. Taxis and car rental services are also available.

Lille Lesquin International Airport (LIL)

Location

The airport is situated about six miles (10km) from Lille, close to the Belgian border.

Getting to the city

The airport shuttle service operates from the city centre, hourly, every day between 5.10am and 8pm; and from the airport, every hour, from 5.30am to 22.15pm. Services on Sundays tend to start later. Several taxi companies also serve the airport.

Location

The airport is located four miles (7km) southeast of Calvi.

Nantes Atlantique Airport (NTE)

Location

The airport is located seven miles (11km) southwest of Nantes in Bouguenais.

Getting to the city

Shuttles connect the airport to the city centre every 20 minutes between 6.15am and 11.15pm Monday to Saturday, and every 30 minutes between 7am and 11pm on Sundays and holidays.

Brest Bretagne Airport (BES)

Location

Brest Airport is located just over six miles (10km) northeast of Brest, within the département of Finistère.

Getting to the city

An airport shuttle service runs to the tramway station at Porte de Guipavas several times a day. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Tickets can be bought onboard the shuttle. Outside of tramway hours, the shuttle runs to the railway station.

Location

The airport is located nine miles (16km) from Lourdes city centre.

Getting to the city

Montpellier–Méditerranée Airport (MPL)

Location

The airport is located seven miles (11km) southeast of Montpellier.

Getting to the city

Airport Shuttle, Line 120 connects the airport to the "Place de l'Europe" Tramway Station, where connections can be made by train to the Montpellier St Roch Railway Station, and by tram to many destinations around Montpellier.

Pau Pyrénées Airport (PUF)

Getting to the city

The IDELIS shuttle service offers travellers access to Pau's town centre and train station. The shuttle departs every hour between 7am and 7.33pm, Monday to Saturday, from the IDELIS bus stop just to the right of the terminal building exit. Tickets can be purchased from the shuttle driver. The journey to the train station takes approximately 30 minutes.

Perpignan–Rivesaltes Airport (PGF)

Location

This airport is located four miles (7km) from Perpignan, in southwestern France.

The airport is located in Pluguffan, nearly six miles drive (10km) southwest of Quimper.

Location

The airport is situated nearly seven miles (11km) southwest of Rennes.

Getting to the city

The bus stop at the airport is a 300 metre walk from the airport terminal and bus 57 runs to the city centre.
