Yangon International Airport (RGN)

The airport is situated 10 miles (16km) outside of Yangon.

There are many restaurants and bars available, from high end institutions to fast food. Yagon Airport also contain many clothing stores, duty free, ATMs, smoking lounges, and news stores.

Parking

Parking is situated opposite Terminal 2. Parking is free of charge. No overnight parking is allowed.

Mandalay International Airport (MDL)

Location

The airport is situated 21 miles (35km) east of Mandalay, approximately an hour’s drive from the city centre.

Getting to the city

Taxis are available as well as hotel transfers.

Local time is GMT +6.5.

Airport Taxis

Airport Taxi Counters are located outside the baggage claim area. Taxi fares are fixed. Coupons for taxis must be purchased at the taxi counter.

Facilities

Facilities include a post office, bank, Bureau de Change a restaurant and VIP Lounge. There are also plenty of duty free shops and a newsagent/tobacconist. In the arrivals hall travellers can find a travel agent and a tourist help desk. There is also a Limousine Service counter.

Parking

The airport has 11 short-term parking spaces and six long-term parking spaces.
