Asheville Climate & Weather

Asheville has a humid subtropical climate, so the weather is mild throughout the year with warm summers and cool winters. However, due to its position in a valley surrounded by high mountains, the city's weather can be somewhat unpredictable. Light snowfall is possible in the winter months.Temperatures during summer, from June to August, range between 58°F (14°C) and 82°F (28°C), with July being the hottest month. In winter, from December to February, temperatures range between 24°F (-4°C) and 47°F (8°C).The best time to visit Asheville is during the spring, when the wildflowers are out. The late winter months are also quite pleasant, and less crowded than the summer months.
