Bordeaux

Bordeaux Transport

Walking is considered the best way to get around Bordeaux. The city is big, but most attractions are in the town centre, which is pedestrian-friendly. The city has also started a bicycle-sharing initiative and visitors can hire bikes for up to a week, for a reasonable fee.The city has a good public transport system, however, and visitors can choose between the bus, tramway, or electric bus, which cover most of the city.Renting a car is not an advisable plan for getting around Bordeaux. The largely pedestrianised city centre is plagued with traffic jams and parking is often very difficult to find. Taxis are available, but must be booked by phone.
